My Art: From Craft to Painting

My creativity has always sought its own voice. Although I received my education as a decorative painter-artist (alfreyshchyk-zhyvopysets) – a profession that is quite rare in Ukraine and mastered by a limited number of specialists. These masters are engaged in monumental painting, church restoration, and the creation of panels. This experience working with monumental painting, akin to a muralist, laid a strong foundation for my artistic skill.

However, deep down, I always yearned to create my own canvases, immersing myself in the magic of oil painting. It is this boundless passion for oil that has given my paintings a unique expression and style, distinguishing them from established methods.

A chance discovery – the remnants of my academic studio works – became an unexpected yet touching reminder of my student years. This re-evaluation of the past not only revived memories of my study period but also opened new possibilities, becoming a powerful impetus for a new stage and further creative development in my art.
